If you’re looking for a home builder with your best interests at heart, look no further.
If you’re looking for a home builder with your best interests at heart, look no further.

Here at Waterstone, we take every step of the process with three core values in mind.

Waterstone City Homes is

Innovative by Design

As an industry, homebuilding is very resistant to change. Positive advances usually take years – if not decades…but not for us.

We think differentyl about every aspect of the business. With one-of-a- kind elevations, livable architecture, first-rte materials, and a communicative, collaborative building process, we purposefully challenge ourselves to find better ways to build homes every day.

Waterstone City Homes is

Deliberately Transparent

The biggest issue homebuyers face is a lack of transparency. With anxiety about rising costs and creeping timelines, it’s no wonder some people find the homebuilding process too stressful to bear. We know that building a home is a relationship, and when there are no surprises, the whole process is better for all of us. Throughout the building process, we become intimately involved in our clients’ lives and hope they turn into true friendships. We’ll always remain clear and honest every step of the way. (It helps us sleep better at night, too.)

Waterstone City Homes is

Boldly Collaborative

Other home builders limit your choices and ideas and tack on high premiums if you ask for a change. Not only do we ask for your ideas, we thrive on them. Our process starts by listening. We’re aware that others often have great ideas and we need to be open to them. We’re only interested in the best solution and outcome for your home.

Our Team

Our Team
Michael Carrier

President

Michael moved to Tampa in his early years and considers this town his home. After attending USF and achieving a degree in finance, he worked first as a financial advisor and then as a lender. He quickly rose through the ranks to become a top mortgage professional specializing in construction loans for custom home builders. In 2007, he started a building materials manufacturing company with his brother. Together, they grew the company to popularity in over 23 countries, but he knew he wanted something more. Shortly after that, he sold his interest in that company to start Waterstone City Homes. Friends questioned this decision, but Michael knew it was the right move. He’d always dreamed of building the types of homes he had financed for so many years but with one caveat…he wanted to do it better. Michael has achieved this goal with Waterstone. Borne of a desire to bring the custom homebuyer experience to a greater level of collaboration and communication, he’s provided an exquisite product and an overall better outcome for our clients.

Steve Shelton

Director of Construction Operations

Steve lives with his wife in downtown Tampa and spends his days helping Waterstone clients purchase the perfect home. Originally, he spent years on the commercial side managing big, complicated projects, and he’s turned that keen eye for project management to homebuilding. As a perfectionist, Steve loves to complete successful projects. He believes a project is only truly successful when the job comes in on time and on budget. His main goal is to be certain his clients are thrilled with the outcome. When Steve isn’t hard at work, you can find him out on the links or the road – he’s an avid golfer and motorcycle enthusiast.

Estela Miller

Director of Client Experience

A valued member of Team Waterstone, Estela Miller is a Tampa native with excellent design instincts. Clients applaud Estela for her great communication skills and finesse when interpreting the client’s vision. Part design coordinator, part project manager, part client liason, she is involved in almost all aspects of the building process. She’s a great project manager who works the details while maintaining the design integrity of the project at all times. One fun fact – Estela first met with Waterstone as a client, then quickly became a beloved team member.
